The Founding Vision
In 2022, Lee Cage connected with a colleague and friend in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Over the course of a long dinner conversation, these two technologists discussed technology’s impact on how people work and how organizations achieve their strategy. They also shared common frustrations they consistently observed over client engagements. Their customers relied on a confusing labyrinth of Excel sheets to make important enterprise decisions and manage their back and front office functions. This reliance on Excel trapped data and clouded visibility. Echoing the need for simple, more effective, accessible solutions, they both saw the opportunity that Smartsheet offered.
A Spark Ignited
Drawing from their joint expertise in Workday and Smartsheet ecosystems, coupled with backgrounds in project management, data analysis, and military experience, the pair recognized that they had something unique to offer. They envisioned a venture that would equip organizations to achieve more by harmonizing powerful, low code technology with core organizational needs. Driven by their passion for technology and a dedication to tailor solutions that embraced what organizations need to operate with agility in a dynamic world, they launched Curated Automation.
